On 30 November 2022, Australia began the first match of the two-match Test series in Perth against West Indies. Speaking of the match, Australia won the toss and chose to bat first. However, David Warner and Usman Khwaja came out to open the innings for the Aussies. But, Warner departed early after scoring only five runs.

Then, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith managed to stitch a solid partnership. However, Labuschagne ended Day one after scoring an unbeaten 154 runs. But, he got involved in an incident while facing Jason Holder. That video has gone viral now as he came up with an epic reaction.

Marnus Labuschagne scored 204 runs off 350 balls against West Indies in the first innings

Speaking of the video, the incident took place in the 90th over. Marnus Labuschagne was batting on 153* runs off 267 balls. For the Caribbeans, Jason Holder was bowling. On the first delivery of that over, Holder produced a peach of a delivery. Labuschagne went for a solid defense. But, the ball curved away to beat the edge and climbed through to the keeper.

Despite batting on 153* runs, Labuschane even failed to play it. He also acknowledge that delivery as he was heard saying: “Oh Jason, that's a delicious ball." Hearing that, fans also found it funny as they made the incident viral. Speaking of Marnus, he scored 204 runs off 350 balls, including 20 fours and one six. It was Labuchagne's eighth Test ton in 29 Test matches. 

Along with him, Steve Smith also scored 200* runs off 311 balls, including 17 fours. Travis Head also scored 99 runs off 95 balls, at a strike rate of 104.21. He hit 11 fours throughout his innings. These innings helped Australia to score 598 runs for four wickets as they declared the innings in 152.4 overs. In reply, West Indies had a steady start. They managed to end Day 2 after scoring 74 runs without any wickets in 25 overs. Brathwaite scored 18* runs off 79 balls while Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored 47* runs off 73 balls on his debut.
