The rescheduled fifth Test match between India and England is currently underway at Birmingham's Edgbaston Stadium. Throughout the contest, there have been several twists and turns. After the end of day four, England seems to have an upper hand in the match. They just need 119 runs to win, whilst India requires seven wickets.

Earlier in the game, while batting, England's star bowler Stuart Broad was seen arguing with on-field umpire Richard Kettleborough. The brawl appeared to be about a bouncer's appeal during their first innings. Broad was scolded by the umpire and asked to shut up unless he wanted any trouble.

"Let us do the umpiring- you do the batting, alright? Otherwise, you're going to get into trouble again. One for the over. Broady! Broady! Get on with the batting and shut up!" Kettleborough was heard saying.

As for the match, England has taken a commanding position heading into the final day. In the first innings, India scored 416 runs, with Rishabh Pant (146 in 111 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (104 in 194 balls) scoring hundreds. After that, England responded with 284 runs, giving India a 132-run advantage. The hero of the inning was Jonny Bairstow (106 runs in 140 balls).

Cheteshwar Pujara and Pant both hit half-centuries in India's second innings to assist the team to reach 245 in their second innings. They set a 378-run target for England to chase down. The English bowlers did exceedingly well to keep India restricted, with the captain Ben Stokes taking a four-wicket haul.

The batting conditions had eased considerably in the last innings, with nothing for the bowlers. Alex Lees and Zak Crawley had a slid 107-run partnership which gave them a good advantage early on. However, India then came back with three wickets in quick succession.

After that, India was unable to take any more wickets. Jonny Bairstow (72) and Joe Root (76) worked well together to put England in a strong position. The two batted with caution, attacking only the loose deliveries. Each scored a half-century and added a 150-run partnership. They now want to expand on their partnership that began on day four.
