The first day of the Test match between India and England saw great cricketing action. The home team got some early breakthroughs, but Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja got India back into the game with their brilliant knocks. However, another incident in the match has become the talk of the town.
A video of a man intruding the field has gone viral over the internet. This happened when India lost their fifth wicket in Shreyas Iyer to James Anderson in the 28th over of the innings. The invader was spotted running onto the field, dressed in an Indian jersey and carrying a bat, to replace the dismissed Iyer. However, security quickly raced to the ground and removed him from the field. The man was seen laughing and jumping around as the on-field guards took him away.
The crowd was heard chanting "Jarvo, Jarvo" when the security escorted him. Notably, during India's last visit to England in 2021, a guy named Jarvo entered the field on many occasions. He had become a social media star overnight.

As for the game, the Indian innings were led by Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja. Pant scored 146 runs and Jadeja contributed 83 runs to their 222-run partnership. They helped India reach a score of 338 runs at the end of the first day.
Pant stated at a news conference in response to his magnificent century: "I don’t focus on the bowler; I focus on what he is bowling. It is not pre-planned that I have to after this bowler, If I feel I can hit the ball, I do that."
"I like the opposition (England) but I do not think about it much. I just look to give my 100 per cent in every match. My focus is on the cricket I play. From childhood, my coach Tarak sir told me that you can hit the ball, but work on your defence as well. I keep working on my defence. In Test cricket, defence is important," he added.
