With England making a renewed effort to revitalise its Test cricket, the term 'Bazball' has been the talk of the town. The term was named after Brendon McCullum, their newly-appointed head coach. England's red-ball revolution began under his coaching with a Test series whitewash over defending ICC World Test Champions New Zealand. They then defeated the great Indian team in Birmingham on Tuesday.
Following India's defeat, head coach Rahul Dravid was asked to comment on this concept, to which he had an amazing response. After the seven-wicket defeat in Birmingham, Dravid was questioned by a reporter, "People are talking a lot about Bazball. Some say this will change cricket entirely. As a coach what is your take on Bazball?"
Dravid answered with a smile, "Don't really know what's that," as the entire room burst out laughing. A video of the same has done rounds on the internet.

However, the former Indian cricketer went on to compliment England's recent attitude. He said that they have been excellent while chasing targets. He claimed that the English players are playing positive cricket, which is producing results.
"I would definitely say that the kind of cricket they have been playing in the last few months has been really good. They have been really good at chasing. That chasing is not easy in the fourth innings in England. Whatever brand of cricket one wants to play, it depends a lot on the players and the kind of form they are in presently. When the players are in good form, you obviously play a more positive game, as we did in that innings where Pant and Jadeja were batting," he said.
As for the match, England chased down the target of 378 runs in the fifth Test match against India. Joe Root (142) and Jonny Bairstow (114) were the stars of their chase. Notably, this was the highest total chased by England in Test history. In addition, this was the highest target chased against India.
