The India Women's Team locked horns with arch-rivals Pakistan Women's Team at the Commonwealth Games 2022 on Sunday. The Women In Blue totally dominated the game, but there was still enough excitement for the spectators.

Ahead of the match, the Rajasthan team from the Indian T20 League posted an old video of the players from the Indian team having a fun time with Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof's daughter.  Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana, among others, were seen having a fun time, while the baby and Maroof were in the centre.

The video is from the recent edition of the Women's World Cup, where the arch-rivals last met. The video had gone viral as the players from the two neighbouring countries bonded with each other. "Some call them arch-rivals, some call them role models," read the caption of the video shared by Rajasthan.

As for the match, India had a blazing eight-wicket win in the fifth match in the Women's T20I games at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Pakistan had a difficult time batting first.  Everybody, except Muneeba Ali, failed to make an impact in the first innings. Muneeba helped the team reach a score of 99 by scoring 32 runs in the 30 balls she faced.

For India, the bowlers were at the top of their game. Sneh Rana, with her three wickets in the spell of four overs, was the pick of the bowlers. Radha Yadav also took two wickets in the match, while Renuka Singh, Meghna Singh, and Shafali Verma all got one.

Smriti Mandhan was at her utmost best throughout the chase as she provided the team with a wonderful start and continued to score runs at a fast rate. India lost two wickets, but Mandhana's 63 runs in 42 balls allowed India easily reach the target in 11.4 overs.

The Women in Blue will play their next Group stage game against Barbados on the 3rd of August, while Pakistan will face Australia on the same day.
