Yusuf Pathan advised the team to express themselves freely and continue performing as they have been. He predicted that Jos Buttler would produce a match-winning performance just like Pathan did in the 2008 final. Notably, Yusuf Pathan scored a half-century and won the man of the match in the 2008 final.

Munaf Patel expressed confidence in the team's ability to defeat Gujarat but cautioned against becoming overconfident. Everyone on the bus expressed their desire for the team to win the game for Shane Warne, who led the squad to their first-ever title.
