The Rajasthan team is currently facing Gujarat in the final of the Indian T20 League 2022. Gujarat are taking on Rajasthan in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Yusuf Pathan, Mohammad Kaif, Munaf Patel etc. are present inside the stadium watching Sanju Samson’s men trying to get their hands on the trophy.

Notably, the team won the final in the inaugural season in 2008 under the leadership of Shane Warne. This is their first final appearance, since. The Twitter handle posted another video of the 2008 team members wishing the Sanju Samson-led side for the final. In the video, players are seen travelling on the bus on their way to the stadium. “The first IPL champions send in their wishes for the boys tonight!” read the caption of the video.

Yusuf Pathan advised the team to express themselves freely and continue performing as they have been. He predicted that Jos Buttler would produce a match-winning performance just like Pathan did in the 2008 final. Notably, Yusuf Pathan scored a half-century and won the man of the match in the 2008 final.

Munaf Patel expressed confidence in the team’s ability to defeat Gujarat but cautioned against becoming overconfident. Everyone on the bus expressed their desire for the team to win the game for Shane Warne, who led the squad to their first-ever title.
