On 20 January 2023, Brisbane Heat took on Hobart Hurricanes in the ongoing Big Bash League. It was the 49th match of the tournament that took place in Brisbane. Both teams were looking to improve their position at the table. Speaking about the match, Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and opted to field first.
For Brisbane Heat, skipper Usman Khawaja and Josh Brown came out to open the innings. But, they failed to give a solid start as Jos Brown got out to Rile Meredith. It was a vicious yorker that bamboozled the batter completely. Now, the video of that dismissal has gone viral all over the internet.

Rile Meredith took two wickets for 42 runs in four overs
Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the first over of the match. It was the sixth and last delivery where Meredith produced an unplayable yorker. Josh Brown had no clue and he got out for zero runs off four balls. However, Brisbane Heat scored 162 runs for six wickets in 20 overs with the help of other batters.
Usman Khawaja scored 18 runs off 17 balls. Along with him, Matt Renshaw scored 41 runs off 31 balls, including four boundaries. Marnus Labuschagne scored 28 runs off 25 balls, including two fours. Sam Hain remained not out after scoring 33* runs off 25 balls, including three fours. He batted at a strike rate of 132. For Hobart Hurricanes, Riley Meredith took two wickets for 42 runs in four overs. Joel Paris also took two wickets for 15 runs in four overs. Apart from them, Nathan Ellis and Faheem Ashraf also took one wicket each.
In reply, Caleb Jewell and Ben McDermott came out to open the innings for Hobart Hurricanes. However, they managed only 69 runs for two wickets in the first 10 overs. Jewell was batting on 16* runs while Matthew Wade was batting on 39* runs. Michael Neser took two wickets for 10 runs in the first two overs to provide early breakthroughs.
