Last year, while driving from Delhi to Rourkee to surprise his mother, Rishabh Pant was involved in a terrible vehicle accident. Despite this, the Indian wicketkeeper batter is making a full recovery. On June 14, Pant posted a video on his Instagram account in which the southpaw was seen ascending stairs without the aid of a stick.

Pant also posted a story on Instagram in which he was pictured stretching at Bengaluru's National Cricket Academy (NCA) with the use of a stick. The young person praised himself for his quick recovery in a touching post and acknowledged that even seemingly basic tasks, like climbing stairs, may be challenging.

“Not bad yaar Rishabh. Simple things can be difficult sometimes," Pant captioned his post on Instagram. As soon as he posted the video, Delhi Capitals' skipper was inspired to recover quickly, and both his India and DC teammate Axar Patel left comments on the post. The Capitals tweeted "Keep going, Rishabh," and Patel replied with two emojis.

Rishabh Pant is not the only player rehabilitating at the NCA right now

This is really encouraging for him, and Indian supporters who have been eagerly awaiting his return to the pitch for months now have something to look forward to. Of course, it will still take some time for him to go back to full fitness, let alone match fitness. And after that, he'll probably play some domestic cricket before making another appearance for the Indian squad. However, his progress so far shows that his condition has been slowly getting better. And that is just cause for celebration among his admirers.

Talking of other players in the NCA right now, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah among other players are currently rehabilitating in the NCA. Team India wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul has reported to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore to begin his comprehensive recovery programme following a thigh surgery. Rahul hopes to make his comeback during the Asia Cup 2023 in Sri Lanka in September. The Men's ODI World Cup 2023 will take place in October of this year.
