Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the fifth over of India’s innings. Jacob Duffy was bowling while Rohit Sharma was batting. On the fifth delivery of that over, Rohit hit him straight for a six despite being nowhere near the pitch of the ball. It was an on-the-up shot from the batter that left the bowler stunned.
In this ongoing series, Rohit Sharma had some good starts. But, he failed to convert them into centuries or big hundreds. In the first match in Hyderabad, he scored 34 runs off 338 balls, including four boundaries and two sixes. Then, in the second match in Raipur, Rohit scored a quickfire 51 runs off 50 balls, including seven fours and two sixes.
In the third match, India again had a great start to the innings. Both Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma managed another 100-run partnership in ODIs. The Men in Blue scored 100 runs off 76 balls. They even crossed the 150-run mark in 17.5 overs without losing any wickets. Finally, Rohit Sharma managed to end his century drought in ODIs. He scored 100* runs off 83 balls while Shubman Gill was batting 99* runs off 71 balls.
