India and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma got back his batting form in the game against Delhi Capitals. In the game, the visitors MI won the toss and elected to bat first. During the powerplay overs, the Capitals were going well with 51/1 losing the wicket of Prithvi Shaw. However, after the field restrictions were over, the home team lost four more wickets and was reduced to 98/5.

Skipper David Warner was having a hard time with the bat. He and Axar Patel put together 67 runs with the latter doing the heavy lifting. In the end, thanks to Patel's quick-fire 54 ensured that the team reached 172 all-out. The last few batters failed to cross the double-digit mark while Warner played a painful inning of 51 runs. For the five-time winners, Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla took three wickets each.

In reply, the former champions got off to a great start thanks to skipper Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Notably, the latter slow down after a while but the skipper kept going well coming from poor form. The two-time World Championship winner scored 65 off 45 balls. However, after he and Tilak Varma got out, it looked like the team has found a way to lose.

Suryakumar Yadav bagged another golden duck in recent times. On the other hand, the Delhi bowlers also made a strong comeback. However, the two sixes in the penultimate over ensured Mumbai would register their first win. Even though Anrich Nortje ensured that the opposition doesn't get an easy win.
