On 19 October 2022, West Indies took on Zimbabwe in their second game of the 20-20 World Cup. After losing against Scotland in the first match, West Indies were looking to do well against Zimbabwe to keep themselves alive in the tournament. On the other hand, Zimbabwe were coming up after a win over Ireland. 

So, the stage was set for a good battle between those sides. Speaking of the match, West Indies won the toss and they choose to bat first. But, during the inning, a video went viral when Rovman Powell hit a 104m six. Fans went crazy as they shared the same on social media platforms.

Rovman Powell scored 28 runs off 21 balls against Zimbabwe

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the last over of the inning. Blessing Muzarabani was bowling that over. On the third delivery of that over, he bowled a short deliver which Rovman Powell smashed in the leg side. The ball went outside of the field. Akeal Hossein was batting at the non-striker end.

His reaction was priceless and he looked stunned watching that gigantic hit. However, on the very next ball, Rovman Powell lost his wicket. He scored 28 runs off 21 balls, including one four and two sixes. The Caribbeans were struggling after losing six wickets for 101 runs in 14 overs. It was Rovman Powell and Akel Hossein who managed to stitch a solid partnership to cross the 150-run mark for their country.  

Speaking of the match, West Indies managed a score of 153 runs by losing seven wickets in 20 overs. Johnson Charles scored 45 runs off 36 balls, including three fours and two sixes. Along with him and Powell, Akeal Hossein also scored 23* runs off 18 balls. He hit two fours in his innings. For Zimbabwe, Sikander Raza was the star again. He took three wickets for 19 runs in four overs. However, Zimbabwe's openers started well as they scored 17 runs in the first over only.
