Watch: Sachin Tendulkar rescues injured bird in a heartwarming video

When he was playing cricket, Sachin Tendulkar was recognized not just for what he did on the field, but also for what he did off the field. He always stood up for a cause and did what was right for society. Sachin was always willing to make a tiny or large gesture. This is still true today.

The former Indian batter recently posted a video of him saving an injured bird. In the footage, another guy can be seen assisting the bird sip some water. The seasoned cricketer then fed the bird grains while attempting to determine what was wrong with the bird. The bird had suffered an injury to its left leg.

“A little care and affection can go a long way to make our world an even better place,” read the caption of the video. In a single day, the video received almost 130,000 likes.

The former cricketer has been very busy with some or the other project since his retirement in 2013.  He has now partnered with Unacademy to teach cricket. He has started a course called 'Cricket with Sachin' for Unacdemy Icons.

More recently, the legendary cricketer was irritated when a casino used a manipulated photograph of him to promote their company. He also indicated that he will take legal action against the casino.

In a tweet, Sachin said, "I have never endorsed gambling, tobacco, or alcohol – directly or indirectly, in an individual capacity. It pains to see that my images are being used to mislead people."
