Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has apologized to Bangladesh batter Afif Hossain after intentionally hitting him with a throw during the second T20I on Saturday (November 20). The incident occurred when Hossain struck a six off the left-arm pacer’s delivery. On the next delivery, which Afif played back to the bowler, Shaheen picked up the ball and threw it back to the batter. The ball hit Afif and he fell down on the ground. After the match, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the video of Shaheen apologizing to Hossain for his inappropriate actions during the match. He was seen hugging the batter with a warm smile on his face.
Shaheen’s unnecessary bad behaviour did not go well with the Pakistan management and they felt the left-arm pacer should immediately apologize to Hossain. This is not the first time that Shaheen has lost his cool. Over the past few years, he has had run-ins at the domestic and international levels.

Shaheen’s incident is the second instance in the ongoing series where a Pakistan fast bowler has lost a cool. In the first T20I, Hasan Ali was reprimanded by the cricket's governing body for giving a sendoff to Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan. He was given a level one offence warning.
Meanwhile, Pakistan continued their 20-20 World Cup form and won the three-match series by winning the first two games. The last match will be played on Monday (November 22) at the Dhaka International Stadium. This was the seventh straight loss for Bangladesh in the shortest format.
