Shikhar Dhawan is leading the Indian ODI squad against the West Indies, which is an incredible opportunity. While KL Rahul is recovering from an injury, the majority of the other senior players, including Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, have been rested for the series.

Dhawan, probably the most jovial player on the field, is always up for some entertainment. He was recently spotted having some fun on the field when fielding in the first ODI against West Indies. On the bowling of Yuzvendra Chahal, he fielded a ball and started doing pushups immediately. This accounted for a hilarious moment.

This unique moment is reminiscent of Misbah Ul Haq's famous celebration from when he scored a century at Lord's in 2016. West Indies Cricket's official Twitter handle posted the video of Dhawan's pushups. "Gains and tings," they captioned the video.

Meanwhile, the opener played a match-winning knock in the match. He scored 97 runs in 99 balls in the match, with 10 boundaries and three sixes to his name. He got great support from Shubman Gill (64) and Shreyas Iyer (54), who scored a half-century each, to set a target of 309 for West Indies to chase down.

West Indies lost a wicket early in the chase, but Kyle Mayers (75) and Shamarh Brooks (46) were able to dominate the innings. The two batters maintained their run rate and amassed 117 runs for the second wicket partnership on a great batting surface.

The men in maroon scored runs despite losing both the set batters in quick succession as most of their batters performed well. They put up a spirited battle led by Brandon King (54), Nicholas Pooran (25), and the tailenders. With Akeal Hosein (32) and Romario Shepherd (39) at the strike, the equation called for 15 runs in the last over.

The game went down to the wire, with five required on the last ball. However, Mohammed Siraj held his nerves to concede just one run on the ball and win the match for India by three runs.
