After the match against Kolkata on Monday, Rajasthan's Shimron Hetmyer celebrated his fiancee's birthday with his teammates. Rajasthan's captain Sanju Samson, Riyan Parag, and other players could be seen enjoying and celebrating together with the southpaw in a video shared by the Rajasthan-based franchise on their Twitter handle. Rajasthan skipper Samson was spotted stuffing cake into Hetmyer's ear.

Meanwhile, in the match against Kolkata, Rajasthan scored 217 runs despite losing five wickets in 20 overs. Englishman Jos Buttler hit a century and went on to score 103 runs off 61 balls. His knock had nine fours and five sixes. Later, Hetmyer hit a quickfire 26 (not out) off 13 balls to assist his team reach a massive total.
In response, Kolkata skipper Shreyas Iyer (85 runs off 51 balls) and Aaron Finch (58 runs off 28 deliveries) put on a strong 107-run partnership. However, their key partnership proved insignificant as Kolkata only managed to score 210 runs. Rajasthan won the match by a margin of seven runs.
Hetmyer has been in excellent form throughout the Indian T20 League's current season. He has scored 223 runs in six matches thus far, with an amazing average of 74.33. Hetmyer also has a massive strike rate of 179.83 this season.
On April 10, the West Indian scored his lone half-century in the Indian T20 League 2022 against Lucknow. In the game, Hetmyer had scored 59 runs (not out) off 36 balls. Rajasthan batted first and made 165 runs in 20 overs, and had lost six wickets. In response, the men in turquoise could only score 162 runs in 20 overs.
Rajasthan is presently placed third with eight points in the table. So far, they have won four games and lost two. Rajasthan will next play Delhi at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Friday.
