The Rajasthan team had a successful run in the Indian T20 League 2022. Despite not being able to get their hands on the trophy, they have a lot to be proud of. Jos Buttler and Yuzvendra Chahal were at their very best throughout the season as they claimed the most runs and most wickets in the 2022 edition respectively. Shimron Hetmyer, Prasidh Krishna, Sanju Samson, and Yashasvi Jaiswal Jaiswal were superb as well.
After the season concluded, the skipper gave the men in pink a speech for their admirable performance. West Indies star Shimron Hetmyer hilarious ignored the speech as he was busy eating. Samson also jokingly pointed this out during the speech. "Hettie, thank you for eating that dinner while I am giving a great speech," he said. Hetmyer looked completely confused about what was happening.
Rajasthan's official Twitter handle posted the video of the speech. "Honest words from our skipper. PS: Hettie," read the caption.

In his speech, Samson thanked everyone for supporting him in the season. He said that he was improving as a leader, and it was because of the support of the team members. He then thanked Kumar Sangakkara for managing the team well throughout the ups and downs. The skipper then thanked Jos Buttler for his contribution to the season. "We all have learned a lot from you," he said.
The Englishman had a brilliant season with the bat. He was the tournament's highest run-scorer, with 863 runs at an average of 57.53 in 16 games. He also had a brilliant strike rate of close to 150. Buttler ended his season with four centuries and as many half-centuries.
He was also their lone warrior in the final against Gujarat, with a score of 39 runs. Rajasthan batted first, and had a difficult time as Hardik Pandya kept them on their toes. They only managed 130 runs on the board. In the chase, Gujarat were always comfortable and thus, won the match by seven wickets.
