Barring the first season of the Indian T20 League, Pakistan players have not been a part of the cash-rich league. They were in the auctions before, but no team picked them. Since then, Pakistan players haven't been a part of the league.

However, some players from the team in green have been taking the world by storm with their skills in the shortest format of the game. Former Pakistan Cricketer Shoaib Akhtar, who once was the part of the tournament, has said that Pakistani players would have made it big in the Indian T20 League.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, he selected the teams that would have been interested in buying Pakistani players had they been a part of the Indian T20 League. Here are the picks that the Rawalpindi Express made. "@Shoaib100mph answers hypothetical questions only on Sportskeeda What If Pakistani players played In IPL 2022," read the caption of the video posted by Sportskeeda.

•Shoaib Malik – Lucknow

•Azhar Ali – Royals

•Asif Ali – Riders

•Mohammad Rizwan – Bangalore

•Babar Azam – Mumbai

•Shaheen Shah Afridi – Delhi

Only Shoaib Malik has previously participated in the Indian T20 League. He was a member of Delhi at the time. Other intriguing selections chosen by the former Pakistan speedster include Babar Azam, who he believed could have been a 'Top Player' for Mumbai.

Speaking of Mohammad Rizwan, Akhtar said that he would have been a perfect fit for the Bangalore team. He stated that Rizwan, like many other Bangalore franchise players, is a team player. On the other side, he stated that Shaheen Shah Afridi would have been an excellent addition to any of the tournament teams. However, he believed that Delhi would have pampered the pacer a lot.

Because Indian cricketers do not compete in overseas leagues, the fans rarely see Indian and Pakistani players on the same team. However, both Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammad Rizwan represented Sussex in the recent season.
