The former Indian skipper and the current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly turned 50 years old yesterday. He celebrated his birthday with friends and family in London. He was spotted in front of the London Eye dancing and having a ball with his family and friends.
Ganguly was spotted breaking his moves in front of his wife Dona and daughter Sana. A video of the same has gone viral over the internet. Sachin Tendulkar, a close friend and Indian batting legend, joined him. The two have known each other since they played under-15s. Aside from becoming India's and the world's most successful opening pair in ODIs, they have remained good friends ever since. Tendulkar and Ganguly were seen having fun and celebrating the former India captain's birthday at a private gathering.

One of India's greatest captains is still remembered for his contributions to the game. After taking over as captain in 2000, Ganguly created a new age of match-winners such as Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, and Zaheer Khan, all of whom would go on to become established performers and World Cup winners in the years to come.
Ganguly retired in 2008 after a 16-year international career in which he amassed over 18,500 runs. In one-day internationals, he ranks fourth on the list of players with the most hundreds for India, behind only Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma. Indian cricket achieved new heights under his leadership, including victories over the then-mighty Australians.
With Ganguly in charge, India ended Australia's 16-match winning streak with a stunning triumph in Kolkata, capping off a series that India memorably won 2-1. Ganguly also led India to a Natwest Trophy victory in 2002 and the World Cup final in 2003.
"Sourav was a great captain. He knew how to maintain a balance – between giving freedom to the players and giving them certain responsibilities. When he took over, Indian cricket was in a transition phase. We needed the next bunch of players who could set a platform for propelling India forward," Sachin Tendulkar had earlier said.
