Sourav Ganguly

Former Indian Cricket Board president Sourav Ganguly is undoubtedly one of the finest captains ever to lead Team India in history. He made his first international appearance for India 31 years back in the year 1992 in the ODI World Cup 1992. After that, he played for India for almost 16 years.

During his career, Ganguly led Team India to glory for a couple of times; playing the final of the ODI World Cup 2003 against Australia was one of those few achievements for the then-Indian team.

But recently, the 50-year-old has made it to the headlines for another reason out of the cricketing field. In a video he shared on his official Instagram handle, Ganguly can be seen advertising for a biscuit brand in a TV commercial. In this ad, he has played a smuggler. The video is now making rounds on social media.

Talking about cricket, Ganguly's stint as the chief of the Indian Cricket Board ended last year before the 20-20 World Cup 2022. He was replaced by the former Indian pacer and the star of the 1983 World Cup win, Roger Binny. He was also in the controversial headlines at the time in 2021 when former skipper Virat Kohli decided to step down from the captaincy duties of the national side of India.

Now, Dada will be in the new role of Director of Cricket for the Delhi franchise in the upcoming edition of the Indian T20 League.

Recently, he was once again in the headlines after a sting operation ex-chief selector Chetan Sharma went public by a renowned TV channel. In that sting operation, the former chief selector revealed a lot of stunning things between former skipper Virat Kohli and the former Board president Sourav Ganguly at the time the entire Indian cricketing fraternity saw Virat Kohli in a trouble.
