South Africa under the captaincy of Temba Bavuma are all set to be in action in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, in India. The Proteas will be looking ahead to end their trophy drought since their arrival in the tournament 31 years back in the year 1992. The South African players have started their practice and gearing up their preparations for the upcoming main round of the ODI World Cup 2023.
Meanwhile, a funny video involving South African players is also making rounds on social media. In this video, the Proteas cricketers are trying their best to pronounce the name of the Indian city Thiruvananthapuram, in Kerala. The video widely spread on social media as soon as Indian parliamentarian and prominent intellectual scholar, Dr Shashi Tharoor shared it on X (formerly Twitter).

Notably, Temba Bavuma’s men will play their first warm-up match against New Zealand at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram tomorrow on Monday, October 2. Speaking of the main round of the ODI World Cup 2023, the Proteas will start their run in the tournament with their campaign opener against Sri Lanka, in the fourth match of the tournament.
Both teams will play this match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, October 7 followed by South Africa’s second match against Australia on Thursday, October 12 at the Ekana Sports City Stadium in Lucknow.
