On 11 December 2022, Australia won the Frank Worrell Trophy after thrashing West Indies by 2-0 in the two-match Test series. The second Test was a pink-ball Test where Steve Smith led the team. Travis Head won the player of the match award for his batting contributions. However, after the match, Steve Smith got involved in a funny incident.
During the post-match presentation, Steve Smith lifted the trophy, and then he was seen with his teammates celebrating their victory. But, somehow, he broke the trophy and then proceeded to drop part of it onto David Warner's foot. Fans found that video very funny as the video has now gone viral.

Speaking of the video, Smith knelt down with his teammates while posing for a picture with the trophy. The trophy had a wood finish base and silver body topped by a cricket ball. But, the ball got separated from the body. Steve Smith understood and tried to fix it. However, his effort went in vain.
Speaking of the series, Steve Smith scored 255 runs in two matches. He batted at an average of 127.50 including a high score of 200* runs. The first match of the series took place in Perth. Australia won that match by 164 runs under the leadership of Pat Cummins. Marnus Labuschagne won the player of the match award for scoring 204 and 104* runs in the first and second innings respectively. However, Steve Smith also scored 200* runs in the first innings.
Then, the pink-ball Test took place in Adelaide. However, Steve Smith was the captain as Cummins was injured. Australia won the match by a huge margin of 419 runs. Travis Head won the player of the match as he scored 175 and 38 runs in the first and second innings respectively. Thus, they made a clean sweep over the Caribbeans in this Test series. Marnus Labuschagne won the player of the series award for scoring 502 runs in two matches. However, Australia have held the Frank Worrell Trophy since the 1994-95 season.
