The day was the 19th of January 2021 when the cricketing world saw the rise of a sensational star Rishabh Pant, it was a quite sunny morning in Gabba; India needed 324 runs to win on the last day of the fourth of the four-match Test series and clinch the series. The very day when the cricketing world witnessed Rishabh Pant’s excellence and heroics in Test cricket.

His amazing and unbeaten knock of 89 runs with nine boundaries and a six helped India to breach the ‘Fortress Gabba’ after 32-year-long dominance of Australia on that venue. The visitors registered a historic victory by 3 wickets to win the series by 2-1.

This day is and will be remembered as one of the most historic and remarkable days in the history of Indian cricket.

Recently, the official broadcaster of the series, Sony Sports Network has posted a video with comments from some experts and former greats of the game for India’s performance in the historic ‘Gabba Test’.

Subsequently, Rishabh Pant himself responded to the video; he reshared the video on his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Still gives me goosebumps”.

Notably, Rishabh Pant is currently out of action from international cricket due to the multiple injuries that he sustained during a horrific accident. The 25-year-old met this accident last year on the 30th of December 2022 on Delhi-Dehradun Highway when he was driving back to his home in Uttarakhand.

He was immediately rescued from the burning car by the local people present there; later on, the southpaw was taken to the Saksham Hospital of Roorkee before being referred to Max Hospital, Dehradun, and then Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.

He underwent treatment and recovery from the knee injury and other injuries under the supervision of the official medical team of the Indian Cricket Board. Pant was recently seen during an Indian Premier League match of his franchise Delhi Capitals.
