The 1983 World Cup-winning cricketer turned commentator, Sunil Gavaskar is known for his witty sense of humour. Apart from analysing the game in detail, he brings in a lot of entertainment for the fans. One such incident took place in the game between Rajasthan and Lucknow in the ongoing Indian T20 League.

The match was being played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the broadcast showed some visuals of the Marine Drive just outside the stadium. British commentator, Alan Wilkins praised the Marine Drive, also known as the 'Queens Necklace'. Gavaskar, who was in a mood to have some fun, then took a sarcastic dig at Wilkins and England, saying India is still waiting for the 'Kohinoor Diamond', adding that Wilkins should convince the queen to return the diamond to India. "We're still awaiting the Kohinoor Diamond," the veteran cricketer said.

"If you have any influence, maybe you can ask the Queen to return it," he added. This left Wilkins and the audience in splits and the video of the same went viral over the internet.

The hilarious comment caught everyone's attention on Twitter, and fans went wild over it. "A lot of people have demanded to get the Kohinoor back to India but I don't think anyone has asked it as cheekily as Sunil Gavaskar on Global Feed," a fan wrote.

Batting first, the men in pink set a target of 166, with the help of a brilliant performance by Shimron Hetmyer. He scored 59 runs in 36 balls to take his team to a respectable total. In the second innings, Marcus Stoinis kept the chase alive as he hit 19 runs in the 19th over, leaving 15 for the last over.
