On 17 October 2022, India took on Australia at Gabba, Brisbane ahead of the 20-20 World Cup. After playing two warm-up matches against Western Australia, India were looking to do well in this match also. On the other hand, Australia were also looking for better momentum going into the mega event.

Recently, they lost a home T20I series against England. However, Aaron Finch won the toss and asked India to bat first. But, an interesting incident happened between Suryakumar Yadav and Kane Richardson which caught the eyes of every fan. It happened just after the dismissal of Hardik Pandya as the video went viral.

Speaking of the video, the incident took place during the 14th over. On the fourth delivery of that over, Kane Richardson took the wicket of Hardik Pandya. Pandya tried an uppercut. But, he found a fielder as Pandya lost his wicket after scoring two runs off five balls. But, after that dismissal, Suryakumar Yadav was seen doing a fist bump with the bowler.

Fans found it bizarre as the duo shared the moment. Speaking of the match, India scored 186 runs off seven wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 50 runs off 33 balls, including six fours and one six. For Australia, Kane Richardson took four wickets for 30 runs in four overs. Along with Surya, KL Rahul also scored 57 runs off 333 balls, including six fours and three sixes.

In response, Australia lost their all wickets for 180 runs in 20 overs. Only, skipper Aaron Finch scored 76 runs off 54 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. Thus, India won the match by six wickets. But, Australia will be in action in the World Cup against the Kiwis. This win will boost their confidence ahead of their World Cup opener against Pakistan on 23 October. Before that, they will play New Zealand in another warm-up match in Brisbane on 19 October 2022.
