Suryakumar Yadav came in as India's only hope to win the third T20I against England while chasing 216 runs. He became only the fifth Indian player to score a century in the shortest format of the game. Throughout his innings, he played some excellent shots that amazed everyone. However, the shot that grabbed the most attention was the one he hit in the 14th over of the game.
On the second ball of the over, he hit an innovative six against Richard Gleeson. Yadav seemed to hit an inside-out shot when the ball was delivered full and on the stumps, but the ball sailed past the third man for a six. The batter had turned the face of the bat, which guided the ball over the third man. Suryamumar showed excellent field awareness and innovation to hit the six.
A video of the shot has gone viral over the internet.

He played many such innovative shots throughout his innings. He scored a brilliant century in the match but fell just short of winning the match for India. Yadav ended the innings with a score of 117 runs in 55 balls, with 14 fours and six sixes. He was finally dismissed by Moeen Ali in the 19th over after he had gone for 16 runs against the right-hander.
He was India's lone fighter, since no one else made a significant impact with the bat. Shreyas Iyer, with his score of 28 runs in 23 balls, was the second-highest scorer of the match. India eventually fell short by 17 runs.
Earlier in the match, Dawid Malan and Liam Livingstone had wreaked havoc on Indian bowlers. The two played with high strike rates guiding their team to a high total. Malan had a strike rate of 197.44 runs and scored 77 runs in 39 balls. Livingstone, on the other hand, scored 42 runs in 29 balls with a 144.8 strike rate.
The two teams will now play the three-match ODI series beginning on the 12th of July.
