On 17 January 2023, Paarl Royals took on Durban’s Super Giants in the ongoing SA20 league. It was the 10th match of the tournament that took place in Paarl. However, the home side won the match by 10 wickets. Tabraiz Shamsi played a role as he took one wicket for 40 runs in his four overs.
However, he got involved in a funny celebration after taking the wicket of Durban’s Super Giants’ Wiaan Mulder. Fans were surprised also as that video has now gone viral. During the chase, Shamsi was bowling in the eighth over while Mulder was batting. On the third delivery of that over, the Protea spinner took the wicket as Dane Vilas took the catch.

Tabraiz Shamsi is known for unique celebrations throughout his career

Evan Jones took four wickets while Bjorn Fortuin grabbed three wickets. Fortuin conceded just 14 runs in his four overs. Bjorn Fortuin also won the player of the match award for his match-winning and economical spell along with two catches.
