Cricket always energises the players and the audience and celebrations in cricket are always great to watch. However, they can go overboard many a times. Something similar happened in a game in European Cricket Championship.

The batter hit a wide yorker for a six over the cover region. He picked up the ball well to get his team good results. His non-striking partner was obviously pleased with the shot and wanted to express his admiration.

He attempted to fist bump his partner but instead punched him in the face. The batter was clearly in pain, but his partner did not notice and walked away. This resulted in a hilarious incident on the field, and the video has since gone viral.

European Cricket posted the video of the same on their official Twitter handle. "P̶a̶t̶ o̶n̶ t̶h̶e̶ b̶a̶c̶k̶ Jab on the face," read the caption of the video.

In the meantime, all of the major cricketing nations are gearing up for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2022. Australia is set to host the mega event in October and November. The group stage of the tournament will begin on October 16th, followed by the super 12 stages on October 22nd.

On October 23rd, the Men in Blue will face arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. However, the team has suffered a major setback ahead of the T20 World Cup. Due to a back injury, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the tournament. According to a press release from the BCCI, the decision was made after a "detailed assessment" by the Indian think tank.

“The BCCI Medical team has ruled out Team India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup squad. The decision was taken following a detailed assessment and in consultation with the specialists,” BCCI secretary Jay Shah said in a statement.
