Ahead of the 20-20 World Cup, India hosted South Africa for a three-match T20I series at their home. After defeating Australia at home, it was another opportunity for them to get prepared for the mega event. However, India managed to win the series by a margin of 2-1. Under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, it was another series victory for India in the shortest format of the game.
On the other hand, ahead of the World Cup, it was a big blow for the Protea skipper Temba Bavuma and his men. But, now a video went viral where Bavuma was seen saving the Indian skipper from hitting a ball. His super-heroics surprised fans as they shared the video on social media platforms.

Temba Bavuma scored only three runs in three matches of the series against India
Speaking of the video, the incident took place when both captains came out for the toss in the second T20I in Guwahati. Temba Bavuma and Rohit Sharma were waiting for the toss. Then, suddenly a ball came toward them. Rohit Sharma had no idea as Bavuma showed his reflex and caught the ball. The Indian skipper looked absolutely surprised as he would have been hit by that ball firmly.
Speaking about the recent form of Bavuma, he scored only three runs in three matches of the series against India. Even, he managed two ducks among those three innings. Hence, ahead of the World Cup, his form with the bat must be a concern for the South Africa team management.
Speaking of that second T20I, Bavuma won the toss and he asked India to bat first. Indian batters were in full song as they scored 237 runs for three wickets in 20 overs. In reply, South Africa managed only 221 runs for three wickets in 20 overs. India won the match by 16 runs and sealed the series in Guwahati. Suryakumar Yadav won the player of the match award for his 61-run knock from 22 balls, including five fours and five sixes.
