Trent Boult of the Rajasthan Royals showed off his incredible fielding skills on Friday, taking a stunning sharp catch off his own bowling to dismiss Punjab Kings opener Prabhsimran Singh in an IPL match at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
On the second ball of the innings, Boult produced a tempting length ball that swung back in, leaving Prabhsimran unsure of his shot. Prabhsimran had no idea what was going to happen after a tentative chip towards the bowler's end. Boult, on the other hand, rushed to his right, flying into the air, and snatched the ball in his follow-through, exhibiting exceptional reflexes and agility.
While Prabhsimran hobbled back to the dugout, PBKS skipper Shikhar Dhawan was in disbelief at the incredible catch. The spectators gasped in admiration as the Kiwi player kept his poise and balance while completing the grab.

Earlier, RR captain Sanju Samson won the toss and chose to bat against PBKS in their last IPL season encounter. Unfortunately, due to a back spasm, top off-spinner R Ashwin was forced to skip the game. Given Ashwin's absence, RR had to make many adjustments to their Playing XI. Riyan Parag, Trent Boult, and Navdeep Saini were among those included. "We have a couple of changes. Last-minute changes. Ashwin misses out because of a back spasm," Samson said.
As for the game, PBKS suffered a few early wickets, putting them on the back foot. In the seventh over, they lost their fourth wicket for a total of 50 runs. Jitesh Sharma, on the other hand, steadied the ship with a stunning knock of 44 runs in 28 balls.
Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan also joined the party as they smacked Yuzvendra Chahal all around the park to get to a good total. The two remained unbeaten on 49 and 41 runs, respectively, to take the team to an above-par total of 187/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
