India and Pakistan locked horns on 23 October 2022 in Melbourne. Fans were eagerly waiting for the mega clash as India lost the last World Cup encounter against the Men in Green. So, players were also looking to deliver a better show this time around for the fans.

On the other hand, Arshdeep Singh also managed to play his first-ever World Cup match against the arch-rivals. But, he performed well as Rohit Sharma allowed him to bowl in the opening overs. After taking wickets, the Punjab pacer was seen with a unique celebration as the video went viral.

Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for 32 runs in four overs against Pakistan in the 20-20 World Cup

Speaking about the incident, Arshdeep Singh managed to take the wickets of both Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan. His fiery opening spell was instrumental to dismantle the top order of Pakistan. After that Arshdeep Singh was seen styling his moustache after his scintillating opening spell.  

This traditional celebration is known in Punjab as they do the same with pride. Arshdeep must be proud of himself after such a good opening spell against Pakistan. Finally, he managed to take three wickets for 32 runs in four overs. However, the Pakistani pacer got trolled badly as she failed to take an easy catch against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022.

Fans even called him anti-national for not grabbing that catch which cost India the match. But, he proved everyone wrong as he performed brilliantly in the first game of the World Cup. Speaking about the match, India won the toss and asked Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan scored 159 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood managed to score two fifties while other batters failed miserably. Along with Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya also took three wickets. But, in reply, Indian batters also faced some heat from the Pakistani bowlers. In 14 overs, India managed only 90 runs for four wickets while chasing 160 runs in 20 overs.
