On 16 January 2023, Dubai Capitals took on Gulf Giants in the ongoing ILT20. It was the fifth match of the tournament. Both teams were looking to improve their position at the table by winning this clash. However, Gulf Giants won the match by six wickets with one over to spare. James Vince won the player of the match award for his blistering knock.
However, Robin Uthappa played a gem of an inning for Dubai Capitals. He scored 79 runs off 46 balls, including 10 fours and two sixes. He came up with some top shots throughout that innings. So, fans were surprised to see the batter in such a form and that video has now gone viral.

Robin Uthappa brought back the old days with his shots
Speaking of the video, Robin Uthappa was seen hitting several beautiful shots throughout the innings. In a single over, he managed to hit three fours and one six. He batted at a strike rate of 171.73. Speaking of the match, Gulf Giants won the toss and asked Dubai Capitals to bat first. Robin Uthappa and Joe Root came out to open the innings.
Apart from Uthappa, Rovman Powell and Sikandar Raza scored 38 runs and 30 runs respectively. Thus, they scored 182 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. For Gulf Giants, Rehan Ahmed took three wickets for 28 runs in four overs. Along with him, Richard Gleeson took two wickets while Sanchit Sharma and David Wiese took one wicket each.
In reply, skipper James Vince and Rehan Ahmed came out to open the innings. Vince came up with a fantastic inning of 83* runs off 56 balls, including seven fours and three sixes. He batted at a strike rate of 148.21. Gerhard Erasmus also scored 52 runs off 28 balls, including five fours and two sixes. Thus, they managed to chase down the target in 19 overs with six wickets to spare. Hence, Vince won the player of the match award for his match-winning knock.
