Yuzvendra Chahal, India's prolific spinner, can also be seen hugging Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi in the video. Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan, Gujarat's captain and vice-captain in the Indian T20 League, were also seen conversing with each other as the Indian all-rounder interacted with Rashid and Nabi.
Kohli and Rashid Khan also spoke before departing for their respective camps. When Kohli met Pakistan captain Babar Azam, he was all smiles. The two have a good relationship both on and off the field, and the latter had also come out in support of Kohli when the Indian stalwart was struggling during India's tour of England.
The entire Indian team gathered around VVS Laxman, the Indian team's interim coach for the tournament, as all of the players were seen carefully listening to the veteran. In Rahul Dravid's absence, Laxman was named India's head coach for the Asia Cup on Wednesday, and he arrived in Dubai after finishing his stint with the squad that faced Zimbabwe in Harare. Dravid tested positive for Covid-19.
