Team India started their Test journey with a convincing and massive win by innings and 223 runs against Australia in the recently-concluded first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rohit Sharma’s men completely outplayed the visitors only on the third day of the Nagpur fixture.

Meanwhile, an exciting video is making rounds on social media; in which a few of the players can be seen assembled before the start of Australia’s second innings after India took a lead of 223 runs in the first innings. While waiting for the skipper’s arrival on the field alongside other players, former skipper and Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli was spotted dancing to the step of the recent Bollywood movie Pathan’s song ‘Jhoome Jo Pathan’. Subsequently, the star of the match for India, Ravindra Jadeja also joined him in the same.

Speaking of the match, the Aussie skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bat first; the decision went completely south for the visitors as the Indian bowling attack bundled them only on the score of 177 runs in the first innings on the first day of the match. Ravindra Jadeja scalped claimed an excellent five-wicket haul in his comeback Test alongside the veteran all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin who claimed three wickets in the first innings.

While batting in the first innings in response to Australia’s total of 177 runs, India posted a big sum of 400 runs courtesy of skipper Rohit Sharma’s heroic century of 120 runs with 15 boundaries and two sixes to his name. Later, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel also played the brilliant knocks of 70 and 84 runs respectively.

With a massive lead of 223 runs in the first innings, Indian bowlers outmuscled the Australian batting lineup only on the score of 91 runs, thanks to the five-wicket haul of Ravichandran Ashwin in the second Australian innings. Eventually, India won the match an innings and 132 runs having Ravindra Jadeja as the ‘player of the match’.
