Virat Kohli, the veteran Indian cricketer, has been in the limelight for the longest time. Earlier, he got the attention for a poor run of form and not scoring a century. Now, he is in the news for his excellent performances in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022. The former Indian captain finally got his 71st international century after a wait of 1021 days in the inter-continental tournament.

Virat must feel the weight lifted from his shoulder after returning to form. He was now spotted doing a nostalgic promotional interview with Puma Cricket. In a video uploaded by the star cricketer, he can be seen answering "gully cricket" related questions.

When the interviewer asked what "Batta" was, Virat couldn't stop laughing. "Batta is a more rugged word for chucking. Tennis ball se jab khelte the, bohot saare batta marne wale players the. (When we played with tennis balls, many players would chuck the ball). Batta is a very harsh way of choking, I would say," Virat responded.

He was then asked if he had ever bowled a "Baby over". "Everyone has bowled a baby over. Basically, teen ball ka over (a three-ball over) is a baby over," Virat said. He then talked about the famous "Trial-ball" rule in gully cricket. "Ek hamari trial ball bhi hoti thi. Banda pehli ball pe out ho jaye, to bolta tha trial ball hai. (We also had a trial ball. If a batter would get out on the first ball, he would say its a trial ball)," Virat recalled.

The veteran cricketer posted the video on his official Twitter handle with the caption, "How well do you know your cricket slangs?"

In the meantime, Virat is preparing for the T20I series against Australia, which begins on September 20th. His return to form will be critical for the team as they prepare for the T20 World Cup in 2022. The 33-year-old would want to continue his form and contribute to the team's wins in the upcoming matches.
