Ravindra Jadeja produced a brilliant knock in the ongoing fifth Test match between India and England. He built a brilliant partnership along with Rishabh Pant when India had lost a few early wickets. Their partnership of 222 runs for the sixth wicket, got India in a very comfortable position.

While Pant (146) was dismissed on the first day, Jadeja hung around to play on day two. The all-rounder also completed his brilliant century with a four in the 79th over of the first innings. As he celebrated on the ground, Virat Kohli was celebrating in the dressing room. A video of the former Indian Captain getting excited as Jadeja scored his hundred has gone viral on the internet.

Meanwhile, Jadeja was dismissed shortly after completing his century. He scored 104 runs off 194 balls, including 13 boundaries. He did not look to attack too much in the game and only took limited risks in his important innings. James Anderson bowled Jadeja in the 83rd over of the innings. He also clinched his five-wicket haul in the match.

In the end, Jasprit Bumrah also played a perfect cameo with the bat. He scored 31 runs in 16 balls. He helped India reach 416 runs in the first innings. To follow it up, Bumrah got India an early breakthrough with the wicket of Alex Lees (six) right before rain interrupted the game. England currently has a score of 16 runs for the loss of one wicket, and they trail by 400 runs.

India will look to get a few more wickets early so that the pressure is on the home team. Notably, this is a rescheduled Test match from India's tour of England in 2021. The series finale had to be rescheduled owing to a covid outbreak at the visitor's camp. India currently leads the five-match series 2-1. They would be eager to win the match and claim the series. The Indian team has not won a Test series in England since 2007.
