Virat Kohli scored only 19 runs off 13 balls before showing such fielding skills against Australia
Speaking of those videos, the first incident took place during the 19th over. On the second delivery, Harshal Patel bowled a yorker to Josh Inglis which he clipped. Then, Virat Kohli charged to his right and threw it in one motion after picking it up. He hit the stumps directly from a tight angle as Tim David got out for five runs only.
Then, in the last over, Mohammed Shami came out to bowl. On the third delivery of that over, Pat Cummis hit a ball down the ground. Everyone was assured that it was going over the boundary. But, Virat pulled off a brilliant one-handed catch out of nowhere. Fans went crazy after seeing such efforts from the former Indian captain.
Speaking of the match, Australia won the toss and asked India to bat first. Virat Kohli only scored 19 runs off 13 balls, including one four and one six. India scored 186 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Australia got bundled out for 180 runs in 20 overs. Thus, India managed a six-run victory over the defending champions ahead of the mega event. However, the Men in Blue will kick off their campaign against Pakistan on 23 October 2022.
