Former Indian skipper and modern-day batting great, Virat Kohli showed his brilliant athleticism once again on the field in the first ODI against West Indies. The moment came in the 18th over in the West Indies innings when Ravindra Jadeja was bowling to Romario Shephard. Jadeja’s ball got a turn from around the off stump which completely trapped Shephard.

Eventually, it ended up taking an outside edge as the batter went for a drive but the ball turned towards Virat Kohli in the slip cordon. Kohli, who was standing in second slip dived and took a brilliant one-handed catch to dismiss the Caribbean batter.

Indian bowlers dominant as Kuldeep Yadav shines: India wins thrilling match in Bridgetown ODI

Notably, the Indian bowlers completely outmuscled the batting lineup of West Indies. They bowled them out only on the score of 114 runs in 23 overs. The star spinner Kuldeep Yadav scalped 4 wickets conceding just 6 runs in 3 overs with two maiden overs and an unbelievable economy rate of just 2.00. Apart from him, the veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja also claimed three wickets at the cost of 37 runs in 6 overs.

Furthermore, Team India came up with a lot of experiments in their batting while chasing the target of 115 against India. Firstly, the young batters, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill opened the innings for India but failed to give a strong start. Following that, the cricket fans were in shock when they did not see Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli batting in the top three or top four of the Indian batting order.

Surprisingly, skipper Rohit Sharma made it to the middle for India after losing the fifth wicket. Eventually, he also finished the match for India, going unbeaten on 12 runs alongside Ravindra Jadeja who was unbeaten on 16 runs. The men in blue won the Bridgetown ODI by 5 wickets to start the series with a win.
