Speaking of the action of the match between Kent and Notts, the former won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, Zak Crawley smashed a brilliant century for Kent and scored 158 runs, with 18 fours and 3 sixes to his name. Other than him, Daniel Bell-Drummond and skipper Jack Leaning also played the knocks of 60 and 64 runs, respectively.
On the back of these knocks, Kent posted a good total of 446 runs in the first innings; responding to the first innings total of Jack Leaning’s men, Nottinghamshire couldn’t sustain too long against their bowling line up. Yuzvendra Chahal and Aron Nijjar scalped three wickets each, alongside two wickets picked by Michael Hogan.
Skipper Steven Mullaney and middle-order batter Joe Clarke scored the half-centuries for Notts and played the knocks of 86 and 62 runs, respectively.
