The infamous "bits and pieces" comment by Sanjay Manjrekar on the Indian star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had created a lot of controversies. Now, over three years later, this has changed and the two seem to get along well.
During the post-match interaction of India vs. Pakistan game at the Asia Cup 2022, the cricketer-turned-commentator recently initiated a truce. India won the first game of the tournament, with Jadeja leading the way. Manjrekar had asked, “You are ok to talk to me? Right, Jaddu?” Jadeja replied: “Yeah, yeah (laughs). Absolutely!!”
Weeks later, the Indian all-rounder, who is recovering from a knee injury, posted a picture of Manjrekar on his Twitter. "Watching my dear friend on screen @sanjaymanjrekar," he had written. The photo was taken during a television broadcast of the ongoing Legends League Cricket 2022, where the former cricketer is commentating.
Extending this new-found friendship further, Manjrekar replied, "Ha ha… and your dear friend looking forward to seeing you on the field soon :)"

Manjrekar dismissed Jadeja's crucial fifty against New Zealand in the semi-finals of the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup in England, calling him a "bits and pieces" player. Things became heated at this point, and the all-rounder decided to respond to the commentator.
He took to Twitter and wrote, "Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhea. @sanjaymanjrekar."
However, it appears that both of them have moved on. Jadeja has emerged as an important player in the Indian cricket team, producing several match-winning performances in recent years that have also impressed Manjrekar.
Unfortunately, the 33-year-old was unable to make the squad for the T20 World Cup due to a knee injury that necessitated surgery. The all-rounder has undergone surgery and is currently on the path to recovery.
