After ruling Indian cricket during their playing days, the quartet of Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, and Sachin Tendulkar could be back in Indian cricket in administrative roles. Of the four, three former cricketers already hold reputed designations. Ganguly is the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, while Dravid and Laxman recently took over the roles of India head coach and National Cricket Academy head respectively.

When asked about bringing Sachin into Indian cricket, Ganguly revealed he is trying to find a way to get Sachin involved in Indian cricket.

"Sachin is a bit different from all but we are working out a way to have him involved in Indian cricket", Ganguly was quoted as saying.

Ganguly also revealed that there is a lot of conflict going on in Indian cricket and Sachin is the kind of personality who would not want to be part of this. However, he said that Sachin's inclusion will be a great boost for Indian cricket.

"Sachin is obviously a bit different. He doesn't want to be involved in all this. I'm sure with Sachin's involvement in Indian cricket in some way, it can't be better news than that. In what way that obviously needs to be worked out. Because there is too much of conflict all around," said Ganguly.

Ganguly was recently involved in a controversy involving Test skipper Virat Kohli. Ganguly had revealed that he requested Virat Kohli to stay as T20I captain as BCCI didn't want split captaincy in limited-overs cricket. However, Kohli in the press conference denied having such a discussion and claimed that BCCI stripped him off ODI leadership without pre-informing him. This exposed the differences between BCCI and Virat Kohli.
