In a delightful piece of news for the Mumbai Indians fans, the franchise has appointed the former Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga as the bowling coach of the team. Coming back to Malinga, he was with Rajasthan Royals lately as a bowling coach, where he started his stint in the 15th season of the tournament. Earlier, he was active for Mumbai Indians as a star bowler for almost a decade and also served as their mentor five years back in the year 2018.

The former Sri Lankan legend has been a part of Mumbai’s team in five title wins including Indian Premier League trophies in 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019, alongside a Champions League T20 title in 2011.
