India is now in a great position in the fifth Test match against England, having taken a 257-run lead in the match. However, they have lost three wickets in their second innings already. Former Indian captain Virat Kohli was the last player to depart for India. The batter lost his wicket most bizarrely.
In the 30th over of the innings, Ben Stokes bowled a full delivery on the fourth stump. Virat was surprised by the bounce as the ball hit his gloves before it went to the wicketkeeper. The ball, however, slipped from the keeper's gloves but Joe Root, standing at slips, managed to grab the ball. This wicket left everyone in a shock.
The 33-year-old was dismissed after scoring 20 runs in 40 balls with four boundaries. He hit a few excellent shots and appeared to be in good enough shape to score big. India did not lose any more wickets by the end of day three. They managed 125 runs with Cheteshwar Pujara and Rishabh Pant in the middle.
Pujara stuck at the crease and played with discipline to score 50 runs in 139 balls. Pant, on the other hand, played a quick knock of 30 runs in 46 balls. The two will now look to continue their partnership on day four to set a good target for England.
Earlier, India had scored 416, owing to the brilliance of Pant (146 runs in 111 balls) and Ravindra Jadeja (104 in 194 balls). England then faced a batting collapse in their first innings, but Jonny Bairstow got the team back in the game. He continued his form from the last series against New Zealand and scored a century in the innings. His score of 106 runs in 140 balls helped England score 284 runs in their first innings.
For India, Jasprit Bumrah claimed three wickets, while Mohammed Siraj took four. The bowlers were in terrific form, taking regular wickets throughout the game. Meanwhile, Twitter had some great reactions to Virat Kohli's wicket.

The wicket Keeper dropped the catch but Joe Root got it, because He (Root) wants to score his 28th test ton before Virat Kohli does🤭.
