East Bengal FC and FC Goa locked horns in the Indian Super League 2022/23 (ISL) on October 12 and much to the dreariness of the head coach Stephen Constantine, the Red and Golds succumbed to the Gaurs with a scoreline of 1-2. However, the coach from England remained positive in the press conference ahead of the clash against Northeast United FC on October 20, Thursday. The coach requested the players to make the most of the momentum and added that they need to capitalize on their strengths.
Commenting on the game against The Highlanders, the coach said that it was just another team and added that his men would take them on with full confidence. Marco Balbul’s men are in the bottom of the table at the moment after losing all of the two games that they have played in the tournament so far.
“We take each team that we face as a special case, every team is different, every team have different individuals and so we prepare for the NorthEast United FC the same way that we would prepare for Kerela Blasters FC and also for FC Goa,” Constantine said in the press conference.

The Torch Bearers boss further said that he still remains positive and added that the team would make a comeback at the earliest. The English coach added that the fan following for the team is high and emphasized the support that he gets when coaching the team. “If we will play really badly in both games, I would be worried. But we haven't and we have shown some good moments in both games. So, I'm optimistic that we can play better and get and get the right result. You are not going to win all the games that you play, that's for sure,” said the boss further.
“When you are the coach of East Bengal FC, you expect big support to be there wherever you are. If you're going to Brazil tomorrow, they will be there. If you go to England, they will be there. Then you go to the United States, they would be there as well,” Constantine added.
