West Indies cricket team canceled training after seamer Marquino Mindley tested positive for coronavirus. According to the medical protocols established with the St. Lucian Ministry of Health, Mindley will self-isolate in his hotel room. The pacer will be under the supervision of the Medical Team until he returns with two negative results. Meanwhile, all other players and coaching staff were also re-tested and isolated in their rooms. All of the other players and coaching staff members have returned negative following their repeat tests. Therefore, the training squad is likely to resume the practice session in small groups starting on Monday, 24 May, at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

Earlier this week, CWI had got 13 members of the West Indies Test squad, including players and support staff, vaccinated. The board will continue to work with all the regional governments and CARPHA to encourage and help all squad members to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
