So finally, the fans’ wait for an iconic clash in the Indian Premier League 2023 has ended; the two most-time champion teams Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are set to lock horns with each other in the 12th match of the ongoing edition of IPL. Both teams will play this match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the former greats of the game have indulged in an MI vs CSK debate just ahead of the match between both teams. A few argued in favor of MS Dhoni and his CSK whereas a few other batted for Mumbai Indians to win this big clash.
"Fans in Mumbai will always want MS Dhoni to entertain them with his performance but wish Mumbai Indians to win the match. But you see it is difficult to beat MI at home. There have been 10 matches between CSK and MI at Wankhede Stadium so far and MI have won seven times. If you believe in the figures, then Mumbai Indians are definitely going to pocket those two vital points,” said the former blistering Indian all-rounder Yusuf Pathan to Star Sports.
Subsequently, the former Indian batter Mohammed Kaif warned Mumbai Indians to be prepared to face CSK even in their own backyard at Wankhede Stadium.
Here's what Mohammad Kaif disagreed with Yusuf Pathan for Chennai Super Kings
"MI always look strong at home but CSK are difficult to beat on any ground. In such a situation, MI will have to work hard at Wankhede to get their first two points of this season," added Kaif to this debate and discussion.
Later on, the former Indian chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth came up with a piece of advice for the five-time champions Mumbai Indians and their skipper Rohit Sharma.
"Both these teams will be banking on their bowlers to come out victorious and the team which does well with the bat will win. So, my suggestion to Rohit Sharma should let go of any pressure he has taken on himself. He should look to play his natural game and express himself out there in the middle,” said Srikkanth.
