In the ongoing Women's 20-20 World Cup 2023, India will play a must-win game against Ireland. The European side has been eliminated as they have all three games they played so far. On the other hand, Women In Blue suffered their first loss of the tournament in their last game against England. Before this, they won their games against Pakistan and the West Indies.

This means that the 2020 finalists need to win their last game in order to secure a berth in the semifinal. For this, the players would need to step up and would look to do well ahead of the knockouts. Meanwhile, in this listicle, we will discuss three India batters who can score big in the game against Ireland.

1. Smriti Mandhana

The opening batter showed her class in the game against England. She extended her fantastic record against the 2009 winners with a half-century. Even though the team lost the game, she played her part pretty well.

With a weakened bowling attack on offer, the left-hander will look to carry on with good form with the bat. Also, as it is a must-win game, the team would need her to provide a good start.

2. Shafali Varma

The opening partner of Mandhana isn't enjoying the best of batting forms in recent times. Not to forget, she didn't have much impact with the bat during the victorious Women's U19 20-20 World Cup 2023 campaign. However, she can get some runs under her belt against Ireland.

With a relatively weak bowling attack and playing their last game of the tournament, Ireland would look to finish on a high. However, it won't be an easy task against a much-experienced Indian team.

3. Deepti Sharma

All-rounder Deepti Sharma has been contributing with the ball across all stages of the game. However, given her capabilities with the bat, she needs to step up in the upcoming game. Not to forget, she has the highest ODI score to her name i.e 188 against Ireland.

In the next game, the left-hander would love to take down her favorite opposition with the bat.
