For them, Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Naruemol Chaiwai were batting. On the other hand, Nur Arianna Natsya came up to bowl that over for Malaysia.
In the fourth delivery of that over, Nannapat Koncharoenkai hit the ball hard to the boundary. Then, the fielder saved it in the first place before eventually ruining the effort. Her effort was brilliant but it went in vain as she failed to stop the boundary.
Speaking of the match, Malaysia Women won the toss and opted to bowl first. While batting first, Thailand Women scored 115 runs for five wickets in 20 overs. Nannapat Koncharoenkai scored 41 runs off 45 balls, including one four only. In reply, Malaysia Women scored only 65 runs for eight wickets in 20 overs. Thus, Thailand managed to win the match by 50 runs. Eventually, they created history after qualifying for the semi-final of this year’s Women's Asia Cup for the first time. In the group stage, they gained six points in six games by winning three matches. Now, they will take on India Women in the semi-final on 13 October 2022 in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
