Ahead of the Women's Premier League 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore looks like one of the contenders to win the title. Last year, the team finished fourth as they had a poor season. Even though they had sufficient players to do well in the tournament. However, the team suffered mostly due to the lack of captaincy experience of Smriti Mandhana.

Meanwhile, ahead of the second season, the Red Army would like to do well and win their first title, unlike their Men's counterparts. As the season is only a few days away, let's have a look at the SWOT analysis of the RCB.

SWOT analysis of Royal Challengers Bangalore

  1. Strengths

Talking about the team, just like their men's counterparts in the past, the Women's team has a lot of superstars from different national sides including Indians. Apart from them, some notable talents, who played for the team last year were retained. Overall, the squad looks in good shape and needs to gel together to do well in the tournament, which was somehow lacking last year.

2. Weaknesses

The only weakness in the team is the captaincy, Smriti Mandhana, who led the team last year, has been persisted with once again. She lacks experience even though she is the vice-captain of the Indian team. If she cracks the code of captaincy, regarding reading the wicket and making the right bowling changes, the team can do well.

3. Opportunities

The team has a good bowling attack which their Men's counterparts never had in their 15-year history. Even though they will play half of the game at home, the team's bowling can make their job easily in most of the games.

4. Threats

The threats for the team would be the likes of 2023 finalists, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, who also have a competitive squad and can do well.
