The Women's World Cup 2022 is nearing its end as Australia are set to take on defending champions England in the final. The Australian team have been fantastic throughout the tournament as they have been unbeaten in seven matches. England, on the other hand, were lagging behind but came back strongly to book a spot for themselves in the final. Both teams had convincing wins in the semi-final.

England defeated South Africa by 137 runs in the semi-final to play against Australia in the final, who defeated West Indies by 157 runs in the semifinals. While both teams have been outstanding, Australia have had the upper hand in their recent face-offs. Also in the group stage, the Meg Lanning-led side came out on top in a nail-biter of a game.

Both teams will give it their all to lift the World Cup trophy, as it is the biggest trophy there is. The match will be played at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch on the 3rd of April. Interestingly, Australia will be playing their first game at the stadium, whereas England have already won here twice.
